The Corner Pocket Program is a UAACD writing program that has two components. The first component of the program is the literary arts track and the second component is the journalistic track. Presented in the literary arts track are the divisions of literary analysis and composition. The journalistic track focuses on the analysis of media presentation, journalistic styles, and article composition. The program runs concurrently with the academic year of most school districts, which is September through June.
Urban Artist Alliance for Child Development, Inc. (UAACD), incorporated in the state of Missouri, is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation formed for the purpose of promoting arts, education, and social services. Founded August 2001, the mission of UAACD is to enhance the social and cultural well being of young people through arts and education.
